June is here it's time to look down that long, dark tunnel of winter, but don't worry the new stock arriving is perfect for your hibernation plans!
Not only have we have just had a beautiful delivery of lighting from Bernard Schottlander (the Mantis lights first designed in the 1950's) but we also have the stylish statement Leimu light from iittala. It has a concrete base and a smoked glass top (also available in a copper glass colour) - it's a stunning table or bedside lamp and would look great in a modern, pared-back design scheme but would also work back well in a more traditional setting. The larger size is available now in store, but a smaller size is also available.
We have also had a nice delivery from Menu with a few highly coveted pieces arriving. The Towel Ladder is a brilliant alternative to a permanent towel rack - it casually leans against the wall. A white (or black) metal frame, timber rungs and finished with a leather strap on the top (it does come with a fitting to mount on the wall so you can hang it from the strap). Understated and elegant - like most of the product from Menu!
Also (as seen above) arriving from Menu is the versatile "Flip Around" - this piece of furniture is a stool that convert to a side table that can convert to a tray - just by simply changing the position of the 'seat'. A flexible piece of furniture when space (or budget!) is tight and you need one solution to solve a few requirements.
Menu also produces a range of concrete (well cast iron & polystone to be exact) candle holders and we are really happy to have the "Weight Here" candelbra in stock. This masculine no-nonsense candelabra would be a stunning edition to the dinner table.
So if lighting and candelabras don't fit into your hibernation plans what about some cozy wool throws. We have had a delivery of Missoni throws - these are made from exceptionally luxe, fine wool - warm yet light-weight and although a higher-end price to our other stock throws and blankets - the Missoni quality and branding guarantees they will be 'forever piece' in your home.
I look forward to updating you on more new arrivals soon. Just because it's winter doesn't really mean you need to hibernate, but if you want to do some feathering of the nest to keep yourself happy and warm - there are certainly plenty of options in store at LUC. Come visit. Lucy x
