September has been one of the most challenging & stressful months in the history of LUC. We have spent the past 3 weeks painting, building, cleaning and moving but we are so proud of what has been achieved and the new store is next level beautiful. I still can't quite believe that in only 2 years we have been able to transform from a teeny store in South Hobart to this amazing open store in Salamanca.
We are thrilled to be now located down on the waterfront area of Hobart - housed in an incredible sandstone warehouse - originally the Ordnance stores of Hobart built in the mid 1800's for storing equipment for convicts and the military. We are part of a growing area of bars, restaurants, University campus and yet still part of the working dock. Could not be happier with our location.
Our fit out is crisp, clean and gallery-like. In keeping with our simple aesthetic of black and white we have created a series of plinths and mobile units that can be configured in many different ways through out the store. With plenty of room to change and grow and add new product we like to keep our regular customers as excited about the space and stock as we are.
So come and visit and see what we have done with the historic space. If you are visiting Tasmania we are a 1 minute stroll from Salamanca market and a 5 minute walk from the MONA ferry. We would love to see you soon. Lucy x
